CAST members from Alloa Musical Players recently visited Forth Valley College’s sound production studios in Stirling for a unique opportunity to enhance their upcoming production, Little Shop of Horrors.
The stars of the show utilized the state-of-the-art facilities to record tricky sound effects, under the guidance of Barry Frame, a lecturer for the Creative Industries course at the college. The aim was to create atmospheric tracks that would elevate the overall experience for audiences when the show premieres at Alloa Town Hall from March 1-4.
Rob McDermott, FVC’s quality manager and a member of Alloa Players, expressed his delight at the collaboration between the theatre group and the college. He emphasized the importance of continuing the longstanding relationship between the two entities, especially given the challenges posed by the pandemic.
McDermott shared, “It’s great to see the bond between the College and Alloa Players being utilized to its fullest potential. This year marks our return to the stage since the pandemic, and it’s truly special to have both current staff and students involved in the production.”
