So, like, this group of peeps managed to collect, like, 15 bags of litter at the #SpringCleanScotland thingy, ya know? The event was put together by the cool cats at Keep Scotland Beautiful, with some help from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and Robertson. It’s all part of this big campaign that’s going down from March 21 to April 21.
They found all sorts of stuff, man, like a shopping cart and even, get this, a discarded Peppa Pig toy. Like, who would toss that gem away, right?
They were all about timing, too, ’cause this whole thing was going on during the charity’s Marine Litter Week. They’re all about stopping trash from getting into the ocean, which is pretty rad if you ask me.
Heather McLaughlin, who’s all about campaigns and social innovation at Keep Scotland Beautiful, was stoked about the whole thing. She was like, “Every time we clean up even a little bit, it’s a huge step towards making Scotland trash-free, ya feel me?”
She was all about the support they got from peeps all over Scotland, and she was super pumped to have SEPA and Robertson on board. She was like, “Nine outta ten Scots know litter is a prob, and it’s only been a few days into Spring Clean and we’re already seeing so many peeps taking action. Pretty sweet, huh?”
She was all, “If everyone just did their part and picked up after themselves, we could totally kick this litter emergency to the curb. So, like, huge shoutout to everyone who helped out with the cleanup. You guys rock!”
The campaign is all about getting peeps from all over Scotland to join in and make a positive impact on the places we all care about. Not really sure why this matters, but it’s cool to see everyone coming together to keep our country beautiful, right?
