So, like, this old hotel in Stirling got scooped up by a dude named Gary Atkinson from Flagship Hotels.
The place, with a giant golden lion on top, is almost as old as your grandma and has been a hit with folks looking to eat, sleep, or party.
Atkinson was all like, “I’m stoked to own this iconic hotel and make it even more awesome with my mad hospitality skills and local grub.”
The hotel is a stone’s throw away from the train station and Stirling Castle, and has a huge ballroom and meeting rooms on the ground floor.
Atkinson, an expert in all things hospitality, is now part of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce and brought his wife Ros Wardley-Smith into the business.
He’s all about stepping up the game at the Golden Lion, with a focus on quality fit for a king and raising the bar for guests who come to chill, party, or sip on some whiskey.
Atkinson’s pumped to make this hotel the place to be in Stirling, and is ready to put in the work to make it happen.
